National Lottery Heritage Fund awards £9.7m to another great British Institution. The Royal Observatory, was rewarded the funds to secure and maintain current and future buildings. 

In a move to preserve and create more space for interactive talks, presentations for visitors, the Heritage Fund has given just under 10 million in funding to The First Light project.
